چکیده

This paper presents the important features of indigenous wild cherry genotypes suitable for processing. The research took place between 2017–2020, having ten Romanian as study material. harvesting maturity was recorded in first decade June early cultivar (G10) and decades two three other studied genotypes, all them with a middle season maturation. number days end flowering maturation 54 66 (G9). average weight fruit equatorial diameter varied 2.1 g 13.80 mm G4, respectively, 5.5 21.35 G10. proportion (%) pulp waste (stone peduncle) measured 81.95% (G4) 93.64% (G10). values soluble dry substance content were 13.1–24.0 °Brix, titratable acidity 0.48–1.16 mg malic acid/100 mL juice total polyphenols 229.00–720.00 GAE/100 fresh juice. In terms bitter taste intensity, G10 has weak G3, G7, G8 G9 have an intensity G1, G5 G6 high intensity.

Internal levels of plant growth regulators during in vitro culture of wild cherry ( Prunus avium L

In vitro micropropagation of wild cherry is presently one of the main commercial ways to clonally propagate this species (Cornu and Boulay, 1986). In order to extend this technique to a large number of clones, it seems necessary to improve our knowledge of the behavior of the explants during the in vitro culture. Since plant growth regulators (PGR) play an important role in this technique (Marg...

New reports of endophytic fungi associated with cherry (Prunus avium) and sour cherry (Prunus cerasus) trees in Iran

Endophytic fungi constitute a remarkable multifarious group of microorganisms live within plants tissues without causing any obvious negative effect. Endophytic fungi have been found in every plant species examined to date. During an investigation on endophytic fungi, 123 fungal isolates were obtained from healthy twigs and leaves of cherry (Prunus avium) and sour cherry (P. cerasus) trees in I...

Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase in cherry (Prunus avium L.) fruit during development.

In this study the abundance and location of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK) was determined in the flesh and skin of the sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.) cultivar Durone Nero II during development. PEPCK was not present in young fruit but appeared in both tissues as the fruit increased in size. In these there was no net dissimilation of malic acid, which accounts for the bulk of their or...

Ascorbic acid metabolism during sweet cherry (Prunus avium) fruit development

To elucidate metabolism of ascorbic acid (AsA) in sweet cherry fruit (Prunus avium 'Hongdeng'), we quantified AsA concentration, cloned sequences involved in AsA metabolism and investigated their mRNA expression levels, and determined the activity levels of selected enzymes during fruit development and maturation. We found that AsA concentration was highest at the petal-fall period (0 days afte...

Evaluation of multiple approaches to identify genome-wide polymorphisms in closely related genotypes of sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.)

Identification of genetic polymorphisms and subsequent development of molecular markers is important for marker assisted breeding of superior cultivars of economically important species. Sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.) is an economically important non-climacteric tree fruit crop in the Rosaceae family and has undergone a genetic bottleneck due to breeding, resulting in limited genetic diversity ...
